Many Hermanus homes have a lounge TV and a bedroom or two that have never had DSTV, and guest houses want every room covered. Extra View links a second decoder to your main subscription so different rooms can watch different channels at the same time.
The part people underestimate is the cabling. Each decoder needs its own cable run from the dish, so we plan the route through the roof space and walls before we start, and we check that the dish's LNB can feed more than one decoder. Done properly it looks as if it was always part of the house.
